The recent season has been incredibly challenging for both the Carolina Panthers and their loyal fans. We’ve only managed to secure victory in two out of sixteen games and unfortunately, we don’t have any first round draft picks for 2024. If we fail to win our last game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, this season will be one of our worst to date, just slightly better than our performance back in 2001.

So, what does the future hold for the Panthers? Our hopes are set on returning to the NFL Playoffs in 2024, an achievement that has eluded us since 2017. I came across some intriguing statistics regarding teams that didn’t have any players selected for the Pro Bowl. Over the past decade, there have been 34 such teams. With North Carolina sports betting now legalized, these numbers could prove valuable for those interested in placing bets through North Carolina sportsbook apps on not only the Panthers but also other teams.

Can the Panthers improve their performance next year even without Pro Bowl players? Out of those 34 teams mentioned earlier, a total of 11 managed to reach the playoffs in the following season, with two even making it as far as either conference championship games or even competing at Super Bowl level. The Cincinnati Bengals had an outstanding run in 2022 when they advanced all the way to Super Bowl. On average, these teams typically had a record of 7 wins and 9 losses in the following year.

The Panthers have found themselves in this situation twice before, in 2013 and 2021. In those instances, our performance in the subsequent year resulted in a record of 5 wins and 12 losses and then an impressive record of 12 wins and 4 losses. We even managed to make it to the NFC Divisional Round in 2014.

Regarding other NFL teams, only the New England Patriots and Washington Commanders have consistently had Pro Bowl players every season. Conversely, the Jacksonville Jaguars have experienced the longest drought without any Pro Bowl appearances (five times since 2010).

As a devoted Panthers fan, I’m sincerely hoping that we can conclude this season with an unexpected victory against the Buccaneers. After that, it will be crucial for our general manager and owner to maximize our selections in the NFL Draft, especially considering that we don’t possess a first round pick. The outcome remains uncertain, but I’ll be closely monitoring for North Carolina sportsbook promos and BetMGM North Carolina bonus codes related to applications for placing bets.
