This included 40 points in the paint on their way to 1.1 points per possession and 52% true shooting as a team.

Michael Teal led the Bulldogs with 17 points, while Raquan Brown chipped in 13 off the bench. South Carolina State was able to take advantage of a rare poor performance by North Carolina Central’s defense. There were five lead changes and three ties as neither team led by more than six points.

Both teams will try to build off this matchup when MEAC play continues on January 27. South Carolina State will host Delaware State at Memorial Hall, where they will offer special North Carolina sports betting promos to attendees over 21. With multiple North Carolina betting apps expected to launch soon, fans may be able to use promo codes and a BetMGM North Carolina bonus code for these in-state rivalry games next season.

As for North Carolina Central, they will look to get back on track against struggling Maryland-Eastern Shore at the Hytche Center. The Eagles entered this contest atop the MEAC standings, so they will try to avoid a losing skid with North Carolina sportsbook promos likely incentivizing fans to keep supporting them. Saturday’s loss makes the MEAC regular season title race more interesting heading into the final months.
